Public Notice to All Water Customers
CareFlite, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is proud to provide high-quality ground and air ambulance services to the citizens of North Texas. As the oldest joint-use air medical program in the United States, CareFlite is now in its 46th year of service and has transported over two million patients. To learn more about our services, please visit www.careflite.org. In the event of an emergency, always dial 911.
On December 1, 2020, East Garrett WSC partnered with CareFlite to offer all water utility customers the opportunity to become members of the Caring Heart Membership Program through a small monthly fee added to their water bill. This membership protects your entire household from out-of-pocket expenses related to medically necessary CareFlite ground or air ambulance transports.
- If you have insurance: you will not receive a balance bill.
- If you do not have insurance: you will automatically receive a 50% discount on your transport cost.
Full program details and eligibility guidelines are available at www.careflite.org.
As a mission-driven non-profit, CareFlite is committed to providing compassionate, life-saving care to our communities. Since the inception of the Caring Heart Membership Program, we have worked to maintain affordable pricing, making only minimal adjustments over the years.
To ensure we continue meeting rising operational costs while delivering the exceptional service your community deserves, the monthly fee for water customer memberships will be adjusted to $2.00, effective with the group renewal on December 1, 2025. This new rate remains significantly lower than similar programs offered by other providers and helps sustain the value and reliability of your membership.
Please note:
- Membership benefits remain unchanged.
- Members continue to receive coverage for medically necessary transports within CareFlite’s service area.
- Our team remains committed to rapid-response emergency care with advanced medical equipment and experienced staff.
Participation in the program is highly encouraged, but optional. If you wish to opt out, please visit your local water company office to complete a brief opt-out form.
